⚡️🇸🇾🔥 From the beginning of July, large fires have struck the coastal region of Syria, burning over 15,000 hectares between Latakia and Tartous. The flames, fueled by wind and extreme heat, have destroyed forests, olive groves and villages, causing displacement and casualties among civilians and Civil Defense volunteers.

🔻 Rescue operations are hindered by the presence of mines and war remnants, which explode on contact with fire. Minister Raed Saleh has denounced the danger of the terrain and the lack of resources, asking for aid from the EU. On the ground, 120 teams are active, with reinforcements from Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq and six military aircraft arrived from Qatar.
