⚡️🇪🇹💥The regional authorities of Tigray have declared entry into a “defensive war” against the Ethiopian federal government, while armed clashes are ongoing in the Afar region.

🔻 Local sources report that the Tigray People's Liberation Front has taken control of Mekele airport, suspending flights. Heavy fighting is reported along the border between Tigray and Afar.

🔻 Seven armed groups, including Fano, OLA and TPLF, have formed a “Survival Coalition” with the aim of overthrowing Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, accusing the central government of genocide and mass destruction.

🔻 The Oromo Liberation Army has described this coalition as a “procedural consensus,” clarifying that it does not constitute an agreement on substantive political issues nor authorize any group to determine the country’s political future.
