⚡️🇺🇸🏭General Dynamics has not produced a single usable projectile at the new Texas facility, funded by the US Army with $533 million.
🔻 The plant was supposed to contribute to bringing US production to 100,000 155mm projectiles per month, but the project has accumulated eight delays, forcing the Army to shut down two out of three lines in August 2025.
🔻 Despite the shutdown, the division responsible for the plant has received new public contracts for $2.5 billion. The Army has not received any reimbursement and intends to recover the funds through discounts on future orders.
