⚡️🇳🇵🌊 The death toll from the devastating floods that struck Nepal along the border with Tibet has risen to at least 270. About 1,500 people are still missing, including at least 700 foreign tourists.

🔻The USGS confirmed that the disaster was caused by the collapse of a glacier, which also would have generated a 5.2‑magnitude earthquake. In the last thirty years, Nepal has lost almost a third of its glacier cover.
