⚡️🇴🇲🚢 A Qatari oil tanker, the Gaslog Shanghai, was struck by an unknown projectile 11 nautical miles northeast of Lima, in Oman, along the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz.

🔻 The impact damaged the engine room, rendering the vessel unable to maneuver and unsteerable. No casualties have been reported.

🔻 In a second incident, the UKMTO reported an explosion and a large column of water near another ship 21 nautical miles from Khasab, in Oman. In this case the vessel did not report any damage.

🔻 The Gaslog Shanghai had interrupted the transmission of the signal on 31 July near the western entrance of the strait after loading LNG in Qatar.
