⚡️🇺🇸🏭The Pentagon has signed a $4.7 billion contract with Lockheed Martin to increase production of PAC-3 interceptors missiles destined for the United States and allies.

🔻 The agreement provides for a significant increase in production over the next few years, up to around 2,000 units per year, to strengthen air defense systems against ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles, and aerial threats.

🔻 The contract comes as the war with Iran has significantly reduced US ammunition stocks, with widespread use of Patriot systems and other interceptors in the early stages of the conflict.
