⚡️🇬🇧🚨 Andy Burnham has been elected unopposed as leader of the Labour Party and on Monday will replace Keir Starmer as British prime minister, becoming the seventh head of government of the United Kingdom in ten years.

🔻Former mayor of Manchester, Burnham belongs to the moderate left-wing of the Labour Party and proposes greater public control over water, energy and transport, new social housing and a reform of social assistance.

🔻The new leader also aims to transfer powers and resources from Westminster to local administrations, reducing the inequalities between London and industrial and peripheral areas, while maintaining a pro-business orientation.

🔻Burnham has indicated as a political goal the containment of the advance of Reform UK, supporting that Labour should not imitate neither the right of Farage nor the Greens, but recover consensus with a proposal based on public services, work, social housing and redistribution of power.
