⚡️🇫🇷⚖️The Paris Court of Appeal has sentenced Marine Le Pen to 3 years in prison, of which 2 with suspended sentence, and a fine of 100,000 euros. The effective year of imprisonment will be served under house arrest with an electronic bracelet.

🔻 The sentence concerns the case of the European Parliament assistants of the National Rally, accused of being paid with EU funds while working for the party.

🔻 The Court has reduced the ban from public offices from 5 years to 45 months. Since the measure runs from the first-instance conviction of March 2025, Le Pen will be able to run for the 2027 presidential elections.

🔻 The RN leader had however excluded a campaign with an electronic bracelet, potentially passing the candidacy to the current president of the party Jordan Bardella.
