⚡️🇮🇹👷🏻‍♂️Two hundred agricultural laborers from the rural ghetto of Torretta Antonacci occupied yesterday the Basilica of San Nicola, in Bari, to protest against the living conditions of the settlement in which they live and to demand immediate answers from the President of the Puglia Region, Decaro, and the Meloni government.

🔻 The ghetto, located in the San Severo countryside, in the province of Foggia, is one of the largest informal settlements in Southern Italy and hosts thousands of migrant laborers. The PNRR provided 30 million euros for its overcoming and the realization of stable housing, but the funds have been lost.

🔻 The workers, organized with USB Braccianti, obtained a meeting with President Decaro, who promised answers and the allocation of resources for the construction of housing intended for the exit of migrants from the rural ghetto.
